You, Me and Forever || Puckleberry

“You’re not hurting them,” He said firmly, putting his hands on her upper arms. “You’re stressing out because your body is stressing out. You’re fucking tiny, Rachel, and your body’s not used to the strain of having two kids. It’s okay. There is nothing you can do about it. You’re doing everything you can; leaving school, stopping your dance and vocal classes, everything. You just need to relax and accept that this isn’t going to easy and it might get hard, and once you’re okay with that then everything will be way easier, promise.” His thumbs brushed soothingly back and forth across her skin before letting them fall back to his sides, standing up once she was done pressing a kiss to his forehead. He looked down at her, “I forgive you. And stop worrying about it, alright? Just promise me you won’t keep things from me. I think that’s part of the reason you were so stressed out, you felt guilty.” He shook his head, “You didn’t ruin it, we’ve still got the rest of today and all of tomorrow and the next. Its just one day in forever, its okay.” He started undoing his belt, “I love you too, baby.” He was in the middle of pushing his pants off his hips when she asked him if he didn’t want to marry her now, laughing and stepping out of his pants. “Nothing is going to keep me from marrying you, Rachel. Especially something like this. So, yes, of course I still want to marry you.” He smiled when she brought up his tattoo, pulling his shirt over his head and moving to sit on the edge of the tub so she could get a better look at it. It was her name written in pretty big cursive with a string of music notes behind it across his rib cage under his left arm. He watched her, a small smirk on his face, “Need You Now.” He said in regards to the music behind her name, lifting his arm a bit more so she could see it better.

Noah balanced Rachel out and she balanced him out. He had the ability to know exactly what to say to make her relax. Hesitantly she took her hand out of the water to touched the sensitive tattoo. Need You Now, was their song. Now, everyone assumed it was Sweet Caroline, but that was his song for her. Their song for each other was Need You Now, and it was the song that made them friends. The song that led them to this moment. “It’s amazing, Noah,” she whispered, looking up at him. She smiled softly and realized that his world was her. Her and the twins. Biting her lip, she moved forward so that he could get into the tub with her. “I love you,” she said as she felt his hands on her belly. “Did you know that they are now beginning to hear us? We should start singing to them now.” She had sang to them before, but it was before they could actually hear her voice. Noah always had a twenty minute conversation with her belly everyday. It was actually really cute when you watch him do it. “Is all of this a dream?” She leaned back against his chest, her head resting on his shoulder. “Like, all of my life, all I wanted was this moment. To be happy and pregnant and engaged or married. I always thought that it would never happen to me because no one would want me. I don’t want it to be a dream. I want it to be real. It feels real. You’re real.” She looked over at him, smiling a bit more. “I fell in love with my best friend. I get to spend forever with him.”
