You, Me and Forever || Puckleberry

He doesn’t know he actually thought she might’ve said no, seriously. There was no way she wouldn’t after everything that’s happened to them and everything they’ve got to look forward to in the future. He was glad that it was dark enough to hide the fact his hands were shaking too, that just showed that he was slightly nervous about what she was going to say. But she said yes and he was sliding a ring onto her finger, smiling as he looked up at her. He then stood up, immediately wrapping his arms around her and lifting her into the air with ease. Even though she was bigger than she was previously, it was still easy pick her up. And he has a feeling it will always be that way, but he won’t risk putting her in any danger along with the sea monkeys. He just couldn’t believe this was really happening, even though he knew it was going to happen eventually, it was still crazy to wrap his head around. All he wanted was to spend the rest of his life with Rachel, and he was going to get that. After a few moments, he set her feet back on the ground but their lips were still connected, him smiling all the way through. How could he not? He just got fucking engaged to Rachel Berry, of course he’s going to be smiling like an idiot.

“I love you, so fucking much, Rach,” He really doesn’t think she gets it, but she must have some sort of idea considering she loves him back. And he’s sure she feels the same exact way when the roles are reversed and she’s the one telling him this. Like he’s said a hundred times before, forever sounds really fucking awesome. Not even kidding, especially with Rachel and the future they’ve got together. It’s just really fucking awesome. All around. One of his hands are laced together with hers, his fingers playing with the ring that was now on her finger. It felt right for it to be there, like she was meant for it. Like she was meant to officially be his. He raised an eyebrow at her when she said she had a gift for him that was apparently in no comparison to his. And he was even more confused when she was handing him a check, holding it in his free hand. His eyes went wide when she told him what it was for, flicking from the check up to her. “You bought my truck?” He breathed out after a moment, shaking his head in disbelief. “Baby,” He said, smiling and leaning down to kiss her again. “You are seriously amazing. Thank you, so much. You have no idea.” That truck was his baby, ever since he bought it the summer before sophomore year with his pool cleaning money. First thing he ever bought himself, and he couldn’t believe she bought it so he could keep it.

Rachel smiled, kissing him back as he got excited about keeping his truck. It might seem silly to pay him for the truck rather than using that money towards their car, but it wasn’t about the money. It was about the fact that this truck meant the world to Noah. Even though Rachel was now his fiancee and she was pregnant with their babies, that truck was his first baby. The first thing he worked for and gotten. It was something he was proud about. Plus, she had a ton of money now from her trust fund, so it wasn’t like they were hurting now. With that money alone, they’d be able to raise the twins and take care of themselves for three years, easily. Yes, she did the math. “You’re welcome. I know what it’s like to have that one thing your rightfully earned and I don’t want that taken from you. She’s your baby. And I honestly can’t see you without a truck of some sort. It’s sort of your thing.” She smiled at him, kissing him again. “Plus, all cowboys drive trucks and you know how I get about cowboys.” She gave him a shy smile, blushing at the same time. Oh, he knew what it did to her. Rachel sort of had this fantasy about Noah breaking in a wild horse while shirtless at their ranch and since then, she couldn’t get the thought out of her head. Most women had weird dreams while pregnant. Rachel had sexual fantasy dreams. She told Noah about the dream and he was actually willing to do it for her, when she least expects it.

She looked at her ring as he played with it a bit, smiling softly. They were going to get married. She looked like a house, but they were still going to do it. Maybe after the twins are born. She didn’t want to rush a wedding. She wanted it to be perfect. She placed his free hand, after he put the check in his pocket, on her belly, looking up at him. “In the next month or so, we’re going to start feeling them move. In two weeks we find out their official names. And after they are born, we’ll all be Puckermans.” She kissed him softly before shivering a little. It was still February, which meant that even though it was beautiful out, it was freezing. She wrapped her arms around him and smiled a bit. “You know what? This has been the best Valentine’s day ever. I actually had a Valentine for once and he proposed to me.” And it was true. She never had a Valentine. While last year she was pining over Finn, she was still single and didn’t have anyone to celebrate it with. She ended up leaving Breadstixs to go home to an empty house and watch romance movies until she fell asleep from crying. This year was much better.
