A Kiss Goodnight
Be the one I've been waiting for

He was expecting a lot of that in the upcoming months, everything being his fault since they were his children and he was the one that got her pregnant. And he was okay with that, surprisingly. He knew most guys wouldn’t be, but it was just the fact that they were his kids that made everything okay. It made everything more real in a way. He rolled his eyes at her, shaking his head slightly, “As soon as we’re done, promise.” He nodded, “I know, I can’t forget the time I came home from the gym and my room was green. Not that I’m complaining, since it is my favorite color.” It was, always has been. For a while it was a toss up between blue, the old color of his room, and green. But green always managed to have the upper hand, and it probably had something to do with the fact Rachel told him it was a color that fit him when they started dating. Yeah, that definitely had something to do with it. And he was hoping that they would be able to find something soon, and it was like she was reading his mind because she immediately went over to a set of white furniture that really was perfect. He watched her face fall a bit and he knew why, the price. He didn’t say anything though, just grabbed her hand and walked with her to where the changing tables were. As they were looking he remembered something, leaning over to whisper in her ear, “I’ll be right back.” He disappeared down the aisle and towards the area where the furniture set was, forgetting about the money he set aside from his leftover pool cleaning money that was for recreational stuff. He figures this was better use than anything, he was getting her that bedroom set.

Rachel let him lead her over to where they kept the changing tables and she instantly spotted the one that matched the bedroom set. She nodded at him, watching him walk off before pulling out a notebook and a pen. She looked at the tag, seeing that it listed the prices of all the pieces in the bedroom set. She quickly wrote them all down, along with the measurements. Looking at the previous page in her notebook, she saw that she could easily fit two dressers, two cribs, a changing table and a chest in the bedroom they were using as a nursery. When they moved to Texas, they were going to give the twins a new nursery with new furniture so that his mother had a place for them when they came to visit. She quickly began to calculate the prices, trying to break it down with how much money she had coming in to pay for them. It was going to be very tight, but she could do it. It would just require her to not go out and do her shopping trips with Kurt and Brittany. She had the maternity clothes she needed already and if worse comes to worse, she could always wear one of his shirts. She sat down in a near by chair, yawning a bit as she looked over everything. She thought Noah was leaving to get a cart, to put the box that had the changing table in it, inside of it so that they could go check out, but he was gone for a bit. She looked around, smiling as she saw him walking back towards her. “Let’s get the table and go home. I really need food and a nap.”
